Association canadienne d'études environnmentales "The Environmental Studies Association of Canada (ESAC) is a Learned Society formed in 1993 to further research and teaching activities in areas related to environmental studies in Canada. ESAC is a non-profit, federally incorporated, bilingual organization open to members from across Canada and elsewhere. Members are welcome from educational institutions, government agencies, and private sector and non-profit organizations. International Commission on History of Meteorology "The aims of the International Commission on History of Meteorology shall be: a) to promote the scholarly study of the history of meteorology, climatology, and related sciences including their social and cultural aspects; b) to facilitate international cooperation and communication among historians, philosophers, and scientists; c) to organize symposia at the International Congresses of History of Science, to sponsor or co-sponsor other meetings of similar character, and to disseminate the proceedings of these meetings; d) to promote identification, collection, preservation, and access to historical materials; e) to encourage the compilation of international historical bibliography; f) to support the broader goals of the DHS, IUHPS, and ICSU (International Council of Scientific Unions)." |
